This website is intentionally designed to collect as little personal data as possible. It has no contact form, user accounts, newsletter sign-up or advertising trackers. It uses Simple Analytics for privacy-friendly, aggregate website statistics.
When you visit the website, technical information needed to deliver and secure the site may be processed by the web-hosting infrastructure. Depending on the hosting configuration, this can include information such as your IP address, date and time of access, requested pages, browser or device information, and technical log data.
If you contact Humanitarian Security by email, the information you choose to provide — such as your name, email address, organisation, message and related correspondence — will be processed in order to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, manage a professional relationship or assignment.
3. Why is the data processed?
Personal data is processed only where reasonably necessary to:

4. Hosting and service providers
The website and associated technical infrastructure are hosted in Switzerland using Infomaniak services. Service providers may process limited personal data on behalf of Humanitarian Security where this is necessary to provide hosting, email or related technical services.
The public website does not intentionally use Google Analytics, Google Fonts, advertising pixels or comparable third-party marketing trackers. Humanitarian Security uses Simple Analytics, a Netherlands-based analytics service, to obtain aggregate information about website use. Simple Analytics states that it does not set cookies, collect or store IP addresses, use device fingerprinting, or collect personally identifiable information.
5. Cookies and tracking
Humanitarian Security does not intentionally use marketing or analytics cookies on this website. Simple Analytics operates without cookies or similar browser-storage technologies. If the technical hosting platform sets cookies that are strictly necessary for security or operation, these are not used by Humanitarian Security for advertising or behavioural profiling.
6. How long is data kept?
Personal data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including the handling of enquiries, management of professional relationships, security needs and applicable legal or record-keeping requirements. Technical server logs are retained in accordance with the hosting provider's operational and security settings.

Humanitarian Security does not sell personal data. Data may be shared with service providers where necessary to operate the website, email or business systems, or where disclosure is required by law. Where specialist associates or other providers are involved in an assignment, relevant information will only be shared where appropriate for that work and subject to suitable confidentiality and data-protection arrangements.
